Thai Massage in the Northern Style is a slow, therapeutic healing modality. No oils or lotions are used and the recipient remains fully clothed. The massage is performed on a special mattress on the floor. The style practiced by Hamid utilizes a combination of deep compression and fine manipulation of energy lines (sen).

Sound Therapy

Tok Sen literally means “tapping” the “sen.” In Thailand, the word “sen” refers to energy lines running through the body. Using a special wooden mallet and peg, the sen are tapped meticulously to move energy through the body. A full Tok Sen massage can take 90 minutes. The usual practice starts with the client laying either face down or up. The energy lines are then tapped from top to bottom, with attention paid to the areas with the most severe blockages. After each side is done, the client may be asked to assume other positions such as side lying and seated to allow access to more difficult to reach sen. The rhythmic tapping sound is considered a form of sound therapy and often causes clients to fall into a deep state of relaxation or even fall asleep.

Tok Sen

Private meditation session at Hamid's private studio or via FaceTime/Skype. Hamid teaches various styles of meditation, from Mindfulness (Focused Attention and Open Monitoring), Mantra, Sound, and Yoga Nidra. Hamid also teaches those interested in learning how to guide meditation.
